Gerry Park IV
Watercolor 8"x10"
I could have done better. It was so cold this morning. I was shivering after one hour siting still in cold wind. I had to stop before finishing the painting ideally.

Roslyn--Gerry Park II
Watercolor 8'x10'
10/11/10
I should have painted yesterday so I can write 3 of 10s on the date. Maybe I'll try next year when there are 3 of 11s.
I find out Gerry Park is the best place for plain air painting. It has colorful trees, beautiful houses and mirror-like water. This afternoon the setting Sunlight lit this beautiful house with autumn trees surrounding it. I just wish I could have had 10 hands to paint it before it disappear. I did it as quick as possible by using my old way--brush only. I am not happy about the ending. The composition was off-I tend to subconsciously put the interesting subject in the center. The color was not correct either.

Planting Field Arboretum--Entrance
Watercolor 8'x10'
10/5/10
When I paint watercolor, I usually use brush only, no pencil drawing, no masking. Because I always wanted to catch the moment scene before the light changed it.The time was limited. I understand I should not be totally away from those basic watercolor techniques. So I used masking fluid this time.
Well, as you can see, I need more practice.
