Old Westbury Garden-- West Pond

Oil on board 11x14

This painting was done on Oct. 23. It was overcast. I was attracted by the reflection of the yellow tree across the pond. Since there was no sun, the local color was complicated. I was so concentrated on painting the colors that I paid less attention to the shapes. I wanted to make some changes but I posted it anyway.

Oyster Bay--Fall Color

This painting was done on Oct. 22. I will fix the shadows of the trees.

Oyster Bay--Fall Foliage

Oil on Canvas Board 8x8

I have made five new paintings since the last post. I want to do some changes on those paintings before posting them, though. This painting was done on October 21st. Since I am painting outside everyday, I still didn't get the chance to make the changes I want. Maybe I will do some changes when I transfer those plein air paintings to my studio paintings.

Old Westbury Garden-West Pond

Watercolor 9x12

Old Westbury Garden-The Cottage

Oil on linen panel 9x12

The color temperature of the painting is warmer the than the temperature of its digital picture. I guess the camera is more sensitive to capture blue.

An Over Grown Summer

Oil on linen panel 9x12 In

I was attracted by the reflection and penetration of the light and decided to try and tackle the chaos. This painting also took me two days.

A Sunny Afternoon

Oil on Linen panel 12x9 In

The light change so quickly. I have to finish this painting in two days by painting everyday at the same time.
